CONTEXT

Wormsensing is a tough-tech company combining know-how from nuclear, semiconductor, and printing industries to develop advanced materials technologies. Their founders believe high-performance materials should benefit the general public—not remain confined to niche applications. They needed a brand and narrative that could match their ambition: positioning a complex, science-driven venture as a category-defining player.

INSIGHT

The advanced materials market had stagnated—traditional processes had reached their limits. The previous era was about “Access for All,” connecting data to cloud repositories.

We identified a new game: from access to performance. From enabling digital transformation to redesigning material systems and components for everyone. Through conversations with the founders, a deeper story emerged: their venture is rooted in the interrelationship between disciplines, where conceptual elegance meets universal simplicity. We called it “Beautiful Science.”

INTERVENTION

Naming and Identity

We shortened the brand name from “Wormsensing” to “Worms”—opening a broader spectrum of possibilities beyond piezo materials into wider B2B applications. The identity draws from the elegance of mathematics: the Greek letter µ (mu), symbol of the micron, became the foundation for a visual system built on robustness, purity, and scalability.

Marketing Strategy

We designed a 10-year marketing strategy to accompany the evolution of their technology—from initial sensing applications to broader industrial and consumer uses. The roadmap phases brand expression, messaging, and market positioning to match each stage of product development, ensuring the narrative scales as the technology reaches new sectors.

We delivered a digital platform designed for flexibility—built with an ad hoc CMS that gives the team autonomy to evolve their presence as the business grows.
